Blue Line Extension: Nothing but Blue Skies Ahead!

Four light rail stations, 4.3 additional light rail miles from Meadowview Road to Cosumnes River College, and two new light rail bridges - the SacRT BLUE line project began in 2011 and was officially opened in August 2015.

The results:

• Providing over 11,000 average weekday trips
• Clearing vehicle congestion along Highway 99
• Minimizing congestion on Interstate 5
• Improving the region’s air quality
