Completed Project Highlights

Below are just a couple highlights of capital projects that have been completed with Measure A funds:

Folsom Dam Bridge Crossing

The Folsom Lake Crossing was completed in March 2009. The project constructed a new 4 lane roadway that included a bridge over the American River. The roadway was built to mitigate for the closure of the 2 lane roadway that runs along the top of Folsom Dam, which was closed due to security concerns after 9-11. This major project eases regional traffic flow from Sacramento, Placer, and El Dorado…

Hazel Avenue Improvement

The Sacramento County Board of Supervisors approved the Hazel Avenue Improvement project in September 2006. The purpose of this “Complete Street” project is to reduce congestion and increase safety and mobility for all modes of transportation along the two-mile stretch of Hazel Avenue between U.S. Highway 50 and Madison Avenue. The overall project includes the following major elements:

Blue Line Extension

The blue line to Cosumnes River College (CRC) light rail extension, also known as the south line phase 2 project, was built by the Sacramento Regional Transit District.

Sacramento Transportation Authority has designated a compliance officer for website disability-related accommodations. The compliance officer has received training in website accessibility and updates the site in accordance with those best practices. Contact our accessibility officer to report an issue.

In addition to testing with users with a wide range of disabilities and coding our website to WCAG standards, Sacramento Transportation Authority regularly scans its website to ensure ongoing compliance, and makes timely changes to any inaccessible changes, if any are found.
