Geraldine (Jeri) Krajewski
Geraldine (Jeri) Krajewski brings more than 35 years of public- and private-sector accounting experience to the Sacramento Transportation Authority, with a career distinguished by financial stewardship, regulatory compliance, and oversight of complex transportation-related funding.
During her ten years with the Sacramento Area Council of Governments (SACOG), she managed budgeting, billing, closeout, and reconciliation for approximately $50 million in federal, state, and local transportation and planning funds across more than 75 programs. She also administered the State Transit Assistance program, overseeing the recording, allocation, disbursement, and reporting of $70 million in Local Transportation Funds that support transit operations throughout the region.
Her work included coordinating agency-wide audits, preparing year-end financial reporting such as the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report, and ensuring compliance with state and grant-funded requirements, including Certifications of Expenditures by Fund Source and reporting to the State Controller’s Office and multiple grant administrators. Her background reflects a deep understanding of public-sector accountability, transportation funding mechanisms, and the financial controls required to manage voter-approved revenue streams.
Before joining SACOG, Jeri held various accounting and managerial positions at universities and college foundations in California, Oklahoma, and at the University of Arizona. Her experience in higher-education finance strengthened her expertise in fund accounting, grant management, and organizational oversight.
Jeri holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Accounting from the University of Arizona and has passed the CPA exam.
